William J. Strack II, 38, was sentenced this week to the maximum penalty after pleading guilty in March. He also faces federal charges involving three additional victims. A federal jury trial is scheduled for July 13.

Members of VFW Auxiliary Post 3357 joined Girl Scout troops from Saranac Lake and Bloomingdale to place flags on Auxiliary members’ graves at Pine Ridge and St. Bernard’s cemeteries. Scouts earned a patch for their vests.
