Main Street Is Closing This Weekend. Blame the Cars — In a Good Way.

Downtown Saranac Lake is shutting down for the weekend, and this time it's intentional.

The Village's 2nd Annual Cruisin' 2026 Car Show takes over Main Street on Friday, June 19 from 3pm to 10pm, and Saturday, June 20 from 8am to 3pm. Main Street and the Main Street Parking lot will both be closed for the event.

If you need to get downtown, plan around it. The Dorsey Street Municipal Lot is a short walk.

If you don't need to be anywhere — it's worth showing up. Last year's inaugural show drew vintage and custom cars from across the region, and the second edition tends to go bigger. Organizers are encouraging owners of vintage and otherwise unique automobiles to participate.

Saranac Lake in mid-June, a closed Main Street, and a lineup of cars people actually built or cared for. There are worse ways to spend a Friday night.
